WILSON NAMED 2011 SAINTS COACH

The Quebec Saints announced it's 2011 coaching panel and it was no surprise West Australian Mathew Wilson has taken over the top job. The Saints spearhead forward took over the captaincy during the finals this year and has been part of the leadership group from day one. Another West Australian Darrin Haverhoek was named assistant coach and will also take on the role of Montreal Angels head coach. The official statement from the club was:
"We are pleased to announce that two of our greatest on-field leaders from 2010 will be leading the club heading into what is sure to be an exciting 2011 season. With the appointment of Wilson and Haverhoek we have no doubt that the Quebec Saints will rise to the next level in our short but proud history"
The Quebec Saints are scheduled to kick off preseason training camp in January 2011.

ANGELS RUNNING RIOT IN LOUISVILLE

**UPDATE - Calgary/Montreal have lost a heartbreaking final by 1 point to the Denver lady Bulldogs 2.6 (18) to 3.1 (19)
**UPDATE - Calgary/Montreal destroy Atlanta/Sacramento in the semi-final 6.11 (47) to 0.1 (1)

On Friday the 8th of October a monster was born. The 2010 Canadian Women's National champions Montreal Angels teamed up with the 2009 National champions Calgary Kookaburras in their bid to win the Women's U.S National titles. The Calgary/Montreal team has played two games so far destroying the Denver Bulldogs 9.1 (55) to 1.4 (10) and also easing past the Arizona/Columbus team 4.5 (29) to 2.0 (12). The Toronto Women's team are yet to register a victory in the tournament.

SAINTS WIN OAFL Div2 PREMIERSHIP

The Quebec Saints fought off a determined Central Blues outfit today to claim the 2010 OAFL Division 2 Premiership. In a tight first half the Saints burst open the match in the third eventually running away 48 point victors - the Saints 9.7 (61) defeating the Central Blues 2.1 (13).

Darrin Haverhoek took out best on ground honours for the match ending what has been an outstanding season for the West Australian.
