SAINTS COMPLETE FINAL TRAINING SESSION BEFORE GRAND FINAL

The Quebec Saints completed a spirited final training session in Montreal Wednesday before looking to Saturday's Grand Final in Toronto. Although the Saints (7-1) will go into the game as favourites, the Blues (4-4) are quietly confident - even going as far as tipping themselves for a six goal victory. The Saints have battled the rough end of the stick all year - a brutal road fixture will see them in Toronto for the sixth time this year. A feat that no other team, Division 1 or 2 has accomplished in a single season. It will be the Saints 11th Toronto match in the past two seasons. While the Saints v Blues matches have always been fiercely contested never before has so much been on the line. The bleu et blanc's 66 point semi-final win a distant memory. The Saints will welcome 4 players back from injury for the clash which kicks off at Humber South College in Toronto at 1pm this Saturday

POWER ARE 2010 ECAFL PREMIERS

The Match Report for the Women's Nationals can be found here or in Match Report section.
The Pointe Claire Power withstood a galant effort by the Laval Bombers to win the 2010 ECAFL premiership. In a sensational day of footy in Quebec the Saints and Bombers played off in the preliminary final with the Bombers taking a come from behind win by a single goal. In the main event in what would be the ending of an era for the Laval Bombers (Cam Stark 2008,09,10 Bomber retires, Luke Anderson 2008,09,10 players retires and Daniel Barker 2008,10 retires) the ECAFL saw the dawning of a new one as the league's newest team with some big stars out of the line-up still managed to get the job done with a gutsy 3 goal win.

In a tough contest against the Edmonton Emus the Angels eventually over ran the travelling team to take a convincing 72 point victory 11.17 (83) to Edmonton 1.5 (11). Best on ground for the day went to Angel Aimee Legault while best on ground for Edmonton was awarded to Alice Broughton. The Angels would like to thank the Emus for making the journey to the belle province and for providing a great match of football.
