The 2009 North West Pacific AFL kicked off their season this weekend in British Columbia. The league has expanded to 5 teams with the introduction of new teams the ISSC Harps and the North Delta Bay Hawks. In the two matches played the Harps were crushed by 66 points on debut against the West Coast Saints, while the Burnaby Eagles fought out a 19 point victory over the Vancouver Cougars.Final Scores:

Eagles 6.14 (50) defeated
Cougars 5.1 (31)
