Well done to everyone who played on the weekend in perfect conditions for Australian rules football. Both teams played a high level of skill considering the level of knowledge of the game. The start of round one was very fast out of the blocks with the Saints being able to lead at quarter time against a strong 4-5 goal wind.
Some very hard work from Alex, Gab and Ronan saved many goals that the Bombers should have kicked. Again the likes of Cam and James in the ruck was causing issues with the Saints defence. The two were able to gain most wins from the middle. Even if the Saints ruckman was winning the taps Cam managed to read the ball perfectly in the first.
Solidly new recruit David Krief was performing well in forward for the Bombers giving them some strong leads with the wind. For the Saints the power house of Vinny and new comer Nick Switzer caused grief as they created many goals.
