Uche magic gives Angels edge over sharp Shamrocks outfit while Saints give Bombers a lesson in the Montreal sun

In the first game of the day the Montreal Angels kicked 3 goals to 1 in the last quarter to steal the win from the Montreal Shamrocks in the second round of ECAFL women's footy. The Shamrocks led all day served well by a brilliant 6 goals by unstoppable Trish up forward, Andrea and Mel causing problems for the Angels all day in the midfield. For the Angels Aimee was at her usual best well supported by Lindsay who was a force through the middle. Mimi was keeping the half-back in check but it was a fantastic 4 goals to Uche that proved the difference, the Angels falling across the line by a single point.
Montreal Angels 8.8 (56) defeated Montreal Shamrocks 9.1 (55)

The Montreal Saints showed last rounds win was no fluke belting the Bombers in tough conditions today. Set up by a 7 goal to zero first half the Saints showed they were prepared to run and outplayed the Bombers in every position on the ground.

For the Bombers it's the second loss without the guidance of coach Shane Blight, it is also the second match star back man Declan Coyne has been absent due to his injury.

The scene is now set for the final round, the Saints are only one win behind in the standings but will be required to make up a huge amount in percentage to steal top spot. After today though, anything is possible.

Saints 13.6 (84) defeated Bombers 4.6 (30)
